Determined, Dramatic, and Dressed in Pink!

As I've previously revealed, Delphine reminds of my mom, and RJ reminds of my dad. Today I would like to talk about The Ranger who reminds me of my Sister Carly. Introducing Vida Rocca. Vida works at the Rock Poruim Store and is the primary user of their sound equipment. Vida was a very untraditional Pink Ranger. Vida initially admits a distaste for the color Pink. She even avoids wearing it outside of the Mystic woods. However when she is on duty; It is the color of her mystic robe. Pink grows on her over the course of the season and she adds Pink Highlights to her hair in the finale. Vida was a very dramatic character. She speaks her mind in every situation and asserts herself very well, much like my sister Carly. Vida has come up with many plans that have saved the day. For example she thought of saying a spell backwards to release Nick when he was trapped in the underworld. Vida is a powerful fighter too. Vida was granted with wind powers and can even transform into a tornado to take on her really tough opponents. Vida's zord form is known is a sprite. Her Sprite zord also can change shape into an energy ball. When the other Rangers launch her at a giant Monster, then they are blasted with energy.

Necrolai and Leelee once lored Vida into a trap and turned her into a vampire, As a vampire she had amazing strength and was a formidable fighter but she was also susceptible to Necrolai's mind control. Chip worked with Udonna to free her from their control. Vida shows great strong inner will by fighting Necrolai and flashing her "V-pose" to her friends as a sign they can always count on her. Vida is also a big sister to Madison. These two are the only sister Power Rangers pair. Vida watches over Madison well but also gives her space and is never too over-protective. Vida has a dry sense of humor. Vida really does remind me a lot of Carly. She watches over most of the team really and pushes them to be their best. When the odds are against them Vida reminds them to face their troubles head on much like how my sister Carly has filled me with hope in dark moments. Vida has a sharp tongue, but hides a sweet inner side. Vida also helped reform Matoombo. Xander joined her in protecting him and they almost saved him from The Master's power, but he was released after the finale. In my article on Xander, I mentioned the Vida and Xander pairing which I like a lot, but I will also admit that the Chip and Vida pairing works well too. The Chip and Vida moments in "Stranger Within" were quite sweet. Once again there's nothing wrong with shipping either pairing or even both if you like. Vida is played by Angie Diaz. I saw her at A panel at Power Morphicon but I was unable to find her afterwards. If I ever do see her up close and in person I would gladly tell her I see her like my sister in superhero form and she is a huge favorite Pink Ranger for me! One of the best ever! Her battlephrase is "Ever-changing as the Wind", she stands tall and strong on the battlefield ready to deliver Evil a powerful blow!
