From Washout to Soldier to Guardian!

One of my favorite Sixth Rangers Eric Myers is today's star. Eric was introduced as a member of the Sliver Guardians. A fighting unit organized by Albert Collins. Wes reveals to the other Rangers, his memories from when he and Eric attended Prep School together. Wes tried to be Eric's friend, but Eric pushed him away. As Eric and Wes start getting to know each other again, Eric learns Wes is the Red Ranger and becomes jealous. When the Quantum Control Box is discovered at a Dig Site, Eric is among several competitors for the power. He steals the Box after Bricknik's attack (monster). Eric is cautious but he is also eager. Wes is also eager to protect these powers from falling into evil hands. An epic fight scene with Wes, Eric, and an army of Cyclobots unfolds. The Control Box subdues the Last Cyclobots and Eric thrusts his hand forward into the box and receives the Quantum Morpher. As the Quantum Ranger Eric has many capabilities, and his Morpher has tricks of its own. The Morpher has a built-in computer he talks to in battle, and it also allows him to control his Q-Rex Zord. Eric always has his Quantum Defender by his side and he likes to do a triple hand tap with the back of the gun in certain fights. The Defender has three modes which include Blaster, Blade, and Freeze-Strike. Freeze-Strike instantly Shrink-freezes the Mutant Target. Eric also has access to The TF Eagle. This advanced power ship can reach super sonic speeds and it also sustains well during time trips. The Toy version had cannons but they were not used on the show. While fighting against Conwing Eric received help from Alex in the future who activates the Mega-Battle mode which helps Eric stop Conwing.

Wes and Eric argued a lot and sometimes physically clashed. But over time they established a trust of sorts. The first time they truly worked together, was the fight against the Mirror Mutant. They defeated him side-by-side. This was a big favorite moment of mine for both Rangers. Eric is a soldier throughout most of the season. He truly becomes a guardian as he and Wes find common ground and learn they have more in common then Eric first thought and discovers his own inner passion. Eric was also part of the Wildforce and Time Force team-up and was featured in Forever Red. I am a really strong Eric fan. However I'm not a Eric and Taylor fan. I featured them in T.O.M.O. Pairs mainly as a demonstration of how those pairs work. For those who do support this pairing good for you. Eric is simply amazing. He often gets up when he goes down, except for in "End Of Time part 2" where he was in bad shape and gave his Morpher to Wes to help him in the Final fight. Eric is played by Daniel Southworth. I saw him at a Panel at Power Morphicon, but I was unable to find him again after it was over. I hope someday to talk to him in person. Eric is a wild and daring hero and he is an incredible inspiration. I also liked the friendship between Eric and Holly Zaskin (referenced in Bravest Kids in PR History part 1). I personally would have loved for her to be featured in more episodes. Long Live the Incredible Quantum Ranger!
