Presenting the hero from Xebria, Trip the Green Time Force Ranger. Oh man Trip is fantastic as far as I'm concerned. He's a tech wiz, he's very clever and strongly determined. Another important attribute is his humbleness. Trip truly is the heart of the team. Trip is an alien, and like many aliens on this show he has no official last name. I have heard confirmation via YouTube interviews the the name "Regis" was never offcially used. Someone made that up. Trip's alien power is the ability to receive psychic visions. The majority of these come from people's minds but they also can show other high-alert events. Trip creates the Electro-Booster to add to the Rangers' arsenal. The Electro-booster can convert energy in many different ways. The Electro-booster causes the Cyclobots to instantly disassemble. Trip also created Circuit (An Owl like Robot) who has equally proven valuable to the team. Trip and Circuit are almost like brothers able to understand each other in ways others can't. Trip was the main member of the team to really grow attached to their clock-tower headquarters. Trip brings a lot of humor to this season. Trip and Wes quickly develop an amazing friendship. Wes gives Trip a an old style cap to cover his head gem. There was definitively a strong-screen chemistry between Trip and Katie. I strongly support this pair. Though Trip and Jen do disaggree sometimes, they have a strong respect for each other. Trip does sometimes doubt himself but his inner resolve is incredibly strong.

Okay let's get right into this. The episode "Trip Takes a Stand." This was certainly one of the most dramatic episodes of this season. I love this episode. The story was wild from start to finish. You could say that we sorta knew this was coming from the comment Trip made about hoping Eric would show a different side after The Q-rex Arc was closing. That was certainly a foreshadowing moment. Anyways, basic story points, Ransik releases Notacon. Trip is leaving an odd-job. Notacon escapes. The two find each other. Trip downloads his file. Trip vows to protect him. Frax leads an army of cyclobots to track them down. Eric has no respect for Mutants. Eric sees Notacon being guarded by Trip. The other Rangers and Eric have a standoff. Trip and Noticon escape. Frax uses a mind-control device on Notacon which also lets him track his movements. Eric comes after Notacon again. Trip reveals his alien secret and puts himself in danger to save Notacon. Eric intentionally misfires and shows he's not all bad. Frax arrives and activates his mind-control device. Notacon becomes gigantic, the Rangers summon their Megazord. Trip and Eric fend off Frax. Eric's surprising final actions turn the tide of battle. Trip destroys the control device with his Electro-Booster. Notacon is voluntarily frozen and the story comes to a happy ending. Trip and Eric's epic tension aside I personally feel the bigger take-away here is an always look deeper and get to know people and creatures before you judge them message. So yeah Power Rangers really went above and beyond there. Trip is played by Kevin Kleinberg. I stopped at his booth at Power Morphicon, but he wasn't there at the time. I hope to meet him someday. Circuit is voiced by Brianne Brozey. Trip is an amazing character. I am proud to count him among my favorite Green Rangers.
