Karone Hero, Victim, and Villainess

Karone, the sister of Andros played by Melody Perkins has one of the darkest backstories in Power Rangers history. As a little girl living on the Space Colony of Ko-35 she was kidnapped by Darkonda. He brought her to Dark Spector and her heart and soul were corrupted. Time passed, Dark Spector gathered many allies. He kept Karone close and redubbded her Astronema. Ecliptor another member of Dark Spector's alliance became her guardian slash enforcer. Andros' brash plan of infiltrating the Evil Alliance's meeting at the start of PRIS, prompted Dark Spector to change his tactics. He gives Astronema the Dark Forttress spacecraft. She takes on the mission of destroying the Space Rangers. Andros and Astronema fight hard against each other more othan once before the fight in "The Secret of The Locket". Upon learning the secret Andros is willing to do whatever it takes to get his sister back in his life. The Team does not trust her and a lot of conflict comes up, but then she saves them in a tricky situation. Their bond becomes stronger but they lose her during a dangerous mission.

She slips on board her old base and tries to stop Dark Spector only to get captured by her former allies. After her reprograming she goes even darker, Attempting really crazy schemes like creating the Psycho Rangers and the "Secret City" plot. She becomes infatued with her own power and secretly plots against Dark Spector. The Rangers fight hard to bring her back. She is ultimately saved by Zordon's energy wave, though it was a close call. Karone returns during Lost Galaxy and takes over as the second Pink Ranger. She develops a close friendship with Leo. A friendship which is put to the test during the mission to get the Cyber Daggers and she briefly has to fight her evil self. She continues to fight by the side of her new friends until the colony reaches their destination of Mirinoi at the end of their journey. Leo and Karone go great together in my opinion though they are still not an official couple. Though it all Karone\Astronema holds her own and does not back down. She's a really big favorite of mine and the strength of her spirt as heroine or villainess is truly unquestionable!
