Mighty Jungle and Sea Stand-out Blue Ranger!

I have been eager to do this blog article for a long time. When I was at Power Morphicon last year, one of the nicest people I got to talk was Phillip Jeanmarie. We were having this epic discussion about Wild Force. We were getting along really well. However Noah and I were eager to attend a panel which was just starting and I had to leave before I could get his Autograph. He said "It's cool, go ahead, I'l be here later." I said "Thank You, I'll come back." Then I never found him again! Anyways if we ever talk again, I am determined to get his autograph next time! So now let's talk about his character Max Cooper. Max is the blue Wild Force Ranger. He's the youngest member of his team. I always thought it was interesting how we never got to see the full story of how the first four Rangers came together this season. We did get recruitment flashbacks for both Max and Taylor. We did not get them for either Danny or Alyssa. Max's Recruitment flashback was actually quite creative in my opinion. Here is young Max training to be a champion Bowler, then he uses his bowling bag (very Heavy because of the ball) to attempt to save two young girls from an Org. The org was actually hurt because again the bag was heavy. Sure Taylor and Alyssa's sudden intervention is what ultimately saved everyone but Max did genuinely hurt that org without any powers! A common trend this season was that Max is often called a "Kid" which makes him upset. Now let me tell you something funny that was happening to me at this time. I was in middle school and people were calling me a young adult but I wanted to be a kid still. Sometimes I literally wanted to trade places with Max!

Max demonstrates many cool skills. He can dance, bowl, operate a construction crane, and he's well-versed in ancient legends. He has a really strong self-confidence which often gets him into trouble. Danny the Black Ranger has helped him in many tough situations. Another early flashback reveals that Max saved Danny's life first thus starting their friendship. They also created the season's catchphrase "Never Give Up!" Max's zords include the Shark, Giraffe, and Polar Bear. I would also like to point out I don't think there would have ever been a bowling monster on Power Rangers without Max! (Very cool unique monster there!) Max fights hard on the battlefield and loves to crack a joke on ocassion too. Now this wasn't anything like the bond I saw between Cole and Taylor but they had a lot of screen time together so I started shipping Max and Alyssa as a teen and it stuck with me after the season. In closing I just want to say want to it was so much fun talking to Phillip at Power Morphicon and I really hope we meet again someday!!! Max Cooper is a fantastic Blue Ranger and a big part of one my favorite seasons. I was always cheering him on to save the day when this season was on!
