Happy Anniversary of The TV premier, Everyone! I know, last year, I was careful to select a very open and friendly topic at this time; However due to my busy schedule, this is the article, I'm on today. This article may not be as romantic, but I think there is an important lesson here. Real Quick; Congratulations Power Rangers, on 27 years! That's a fantastic Legacy! Now Welcome to part 2 of Tommy and Kimberly! Season Three was very dramatic and occasionally confusing. Many fans agree, that the Christmas special felt slightly out of place, since The Pan Global Games were established as being a Summer event and the third season was moving more towards that time of year. The Christmas Special also does not feature any Morphed action. However it is a very entertaining and Romantic story. I have personally made it a Christmas tradition to rewatch this every year! It takes three attempts for Tommy and Kimberly to kiss under the Mistletoe. First Skull slips in to kiss Kimberly's cheek and the second time their communicators go off. However they finally get to kiss after the team returns from the North Pole. Also I think Bulk made a great Santa; I just really wanted to say that. A new challenge is presented as Kimberly is very eager to compete in the Pan Global games in Florida. This opportunity is very distracting for her. Katherine also shows up and deceives the Rangers into trusting her. I enjoy the Tension surrounding these events. Katherine steals Kimberly's Power Coin which means Zordon has to reenthuse her powers. There is also a lot of suspense in the episode; "Follow That Cab"; Featuring the first of many car themed monsters. They became even more common in later seasons. Crabbie Cabbie had Kimberly and Bulk and Skull trapped in its stomach as a result of them being in the Cab that was turned into the monster. The Shark Cycles helped turn the conflict in the Rangers' favor. Alpha Five made a special laser weapon to save the hostages. Gunthar Schmidt was also introduced. Kimberly was a huge fan of him as a coach and was eager to meet him in person. Tommy and Katherine could both see this dream meant a lot to her. In my opinion it shows a lot of Character growth for Tommy to encourage Kimberly to chase her dream even if she has to leave Angel Grove. Kimberly's selfless spirit is what encourages Katherine to fight against Rita's spell. The hospital scenario also provided some more wild tension and showed us a little humanity in Gunthar Schmidt. I appreciate how the tough situations make the characters express themselves more and make them be more open with one another. Kimberly and Katherine become friends and make a important decision that changes the balance of Power. Kimberly says goodbye to her friends and to the boy who stole her Hart (Pun!)

Okay this is it everybody. If you haven't seen it, the story is called "There's No Business like Snow Business." It was a three part event in Zeo and it is still canon! This is where Tommy receives a "Dear John" letter from Kimberly. Sarah Brown plays Heather Thompson from the Ski Lodge. Though I know she goes out on a very unremarkable note, I personally think the acttress did a great job. I also admire her edgy attitude. Tommy and Heather get along fairly well but Tommy has to keep leaving to deal with the Machine Empire's monsters and is unable to give her a proper explanation. Katherine convinces Heather to give Tommy one final chance at a romantic dinner for two at the youth Center. However Tommy has to leave again and when he returns, Heather has left. As Tommy and Katherine chat afterward, a song she likes plays and he asks her to dance. "Promise not to step on my feet and you got a deal." Katherine says. The story goes out on a happy note. If I may add on some personal observations here; I like the mature approach to an important lesson about growing up featured here. Moving on from a break-up is a very common and tough thing to face when you're young. I think that is a daring move for the Zeo series to tackle this subject. I also can imagine, if Kimberly physically returned and they had a big argument then both characters would end up looking bad. So I admire how this story was told while still keeping the positive images of these characters intact. Tommy remains a favorite character of mine to this very day and his personal struggles help give his character weight and make him more than a cardboard cutout. Also the fact that he's single again in Dino Thunder adds to character mystery. Amy Jo Johnson went on to join the Canadian TV show "Flashpoint." Tommy gets a brand new zord and meets his long lost brother in the next Zeo Event. I can understand why not everyone likes this event, however I enjoy the tension, the lessons, and the integrity of the characters and that's why it's important to me. Tommy and Kimberly is still a special a nineties couple to me! However I like the story progression in Zeo and the fun drama. Although that one scene with the flashbacks is very sad to watch, I do ultimately see their last chapter as a entertaining one. Of course this is just my opinion. I'm open to hearing others. Summer of Romance will now be extending into September. I am still very eager to tell a few more romantic stories including one very unconventional one coming soon. Happy Twenty-Seven years PR fans! Long live our great memories of the classic Power Pair!

Wow. What a deluge of information in this Part 2. I liked how you wrote the tribute to year 27. But the essay had just too much information in it. I enjoy it more when you write a single theme - like the romance of Tommy and Kimberly. But when you throw in so many details I lose track of the romance. I hope you can concentrate on the Summer of Romance and not get me lost in so many unnecessary details.
